Stolen Thunder- Contest Entry

This is an interpretation of an, admittedly so-call, original character of my fictional fantasy stories called Cross Worlds. This woman is named Mira Mayfine, however, she is currently in her true form, Oblivion Form.

She has an uncanny resemblance to Lightning, because when I first thought of her, Lightning flashed in my mind 4 years ago. Mira mainly appears in my 2nd story, Odyssey, as the co-main protagonist; the other is her younger sister, Lucy. I was told that the beginning of my story was very close to resembling the Hunger Games, where the older sister tries to protect her little sister through going into a killing game and becoming a deadly soldier. I suppose the biggest difference between Mira and Lightning is that Mira's abilities were given through the bloodline of a hero from the 1st storyline after the world was destroyed, while Lightning was granted by gods. Her sister Lucy is a different breed from Mira because they are actually half sisters. Throughout the story, Mira's main focus was to rescue Lucy after a young boy dragged her with him as he reclaimed a family heirloom. But Lucy was something else as she was the target of the enemy as well.

Oblivion Form is similar to when a L'Cie becomes a Cie'th, but the process is centered around chaos and darkness because the Mayfine sisters share the Darkest Blood genes. Unlike L'cie, the Blood is triggered by battle and powerful emotional stress on the user, it gives them more strength, superhuman abilities, and intelligence as the user grows with experience. Mira first triggered her Blood when she killed her father, after that, her crimson hair turned white and black. When she access Oblivion Form, darkness envelops around her, painting her silver SINS Soldier armor gold with darker clothes, her scarlet hair inverses with her unusually colored bangs, her eyes becomes divided as her right represent the remaining light in her soul and the left shows the eye of darkness corrupting her with a black scar, finally she grows wings of a fallen angel and a devil. Through this tranformation, Mira can use darker but stronger variations of her usual moveset, and her signature and ultimate Crossblade is forged through Oblivion. The mythical fusion of fantasy and current world technology, Lævateinn. For the Lightning model, she's borrowing her sister's chakram, Lunara, as shield.
 
Honestly, I can't tell who is stronger, but it's likely Lightning. As I can admit, I was unoriginal. I put in my originally drawing works of Mira as her human and dark form with Lucy in the picture, just to show I'm better on paper and my growth. I have much doubt since I'm very late to enter, but for some reason, I know people will like Mira. I don't expect to win, or that people will accept Mira Mayfine without criticism. But honestly, all I want, is to try to make my stories.
